Thread: UPGRADE TIME!!

My poor 4800+ X2 AMD / A8N32 SLI mobo and 2 gig of XMS ultra low latency ram are being retired finally... Been too long since I upgraded last.

Just bought the following:

Intel 2.83Ghz Q9550 quad core
XFX Nforce 780i socket 775 motherboard
4 gig Ballistix ram (4x1)

Out with the old and in with the new.

and I'm sure you used the TTP affiliate links for newegg, or tigerdirect....right?

Actually I picked it up in person at a Fry's Electronics... Sorry BigDog. :3

I *DO* have some plans though... As long as I run it by the boss and it's ok with him, I'll toss everything we buy from newegg through the link. And we buy about 50,000 dollars a year from them, give or take. No guarantees but I'm working on it. We have a few servers to build in the next couple months..........

if you think about it........so long as you are using the net to order it...you clicking the link to go to newegg is the same as you typing it in manually. Be just like if your own company set up an affiliate link to get a kick back (when actually, you couldn't do that, since CJ only approves relevant sites for such an affiliate).

I don't see what the problem would be, why your boss would care, or even need to be involved.

And that would drastically help TTP's bottom line. Point out to your company that we also have officedepot, compusa, tigerdirect, officefurniture.com, and even walmart.

hehe what you're retiring is better than my current system. My 3800 X2.
