GPU Temp
What is an average temp of a GPU whilst playing a 3d game? Mine sits at about 55 degrees idling and then during a game, it doubles to 110. Could it be the fan crapping out? To be quite honest, my box has starting giving me frequent BSODs and other minor performance problems, maybe its just the board starting to go out.
Specs:
DFI Lanparty UT nF4 Ultra-D
AMD Athlon 64 x2 4000
2x mushkin High-Performance 1GB PC 3200
eVGA Geforce 7800GT 256MB PCI-E x16
Sony DVD/RW somethingorother...
OCZ ModStream 520W PSU
I havent done more than reinstall the OS. Had Vista running on it fine for about 2 years. The only thing I did was blow air through all my components so it might be a fan problem, but almost positive its not. Will post back with updates on that.

Re: GPU Temp
Are those temps in Farenheit or Celcius?
Usually any chip over 80' C is getting too hot.
I believe they assemble chips using heat bonding, and that is around 300' F
And that is when it actually "melts" apart, if not sooner.
Get a cooler or at least clean out any dust on it's fans/heatsinks with compressed air, relocate wiring to get added airflow, etc. first.
Don't forget: not all temps shown are actual either, you could be getting an faulty reading using speed fan or similar monitors. Does it feel hot to touch?
Careful of static discharge if attempting this.
