Windows XP SP3

I just got this update. Is a new service pack a big deal? Are there big improvements?

<edit> i just googled it and it appears its just an accumulation of all previous updates. That's lame :5

I wonldnt get it untill 6 months have gone by with out any Errors cause my friend got it and screwed up his computer. He then had to downgrade to a SP2. Just wait a little olonger to see if theres any errors with the SP3.

works great for me and they brought over the file search from vista which is a nice little feature

I love it. They made it way better for multi core systems.

Service Pack 3 offers all sorts of patches and fixes that were not publicly released via Windows Update. It also has performance improvements that are as high as 15% in some hardware configurations (multi-core being the most common.)
