Thread: [Fixed] Mic not working!

Alright hears the deal...

Last night I was in game, doing my thing talking on the mic and all.. Then after the next round the mic COMPLETELY stopped working, heard sounds fine just the mic was not working. (Yes I checked to make sure that nothing was muted or unplugged) So I went to BestBuy and got a new headset when I plugged the new mic into my PC the same damn thing, great sound, but no mic. Tried the new and old headset on my laptop, and the same thing happened no mic, just sound. Maybe I am just getting defective mics. Help would really be appreciative.

And specs are:
SoundCard: On board (May change, if nothing else works)
OS: XP Home SP3

Make sure your USB drive is clean, it could just be dirty and making it not work...

Already done, and I also tried all of my 8 usb ports, including the two on my keyboard.

Check all your settings for your mic through your control panel/sound. Sometimes the output gets lowered or your mic gets muted. Also check your device manager for any issues regarding your sound card.

Fixed, had some sort of issue with the USB slot, So now I have a USB hub.
