I love this mouse. But I would go with the G5 or G7 But the Cyborg does do the job quite well.

Or you could be a total FPS junkie like me and go for this.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...004&Tpk=FG1000

The two side buttons do not work in all games tho.

I'm running with the mx518 - it still has adjustable DPI and has a simpler selection of buttons. It's nice and smooth and most importantly it's not wireless.

    Re: which mouse to buy

I've tried the G5, it really didn't fit my tastes. I've tried both the Diamondback AND the copperhead: both their lasers wore out after a while, as well as the sides being worked away.

What I have right now is a simple 45 dollar Razer mouse, the 3G. It uses an infrared laser and has a low pickup beam (as in, you can lift the mouse only about 3 cm and the beam will not pick up anything, nice if you have a low low low mouse sensitivity. The only problem is that your DPI is fixed at 1800, but instead of choosing your DPI, the Razer drivers (which are actually really good) allow you to press and hold one side button, and use your mousewheel to change your mouse sensitivity. I default at 4.5 out of 10 because it's slow, but when you move the mouse, you can flip around quickly if you need to. The non-stick teflon feet really do what's advertised. Crystal clear pickup on the infrared beam, never had a single skip, EVER. The only problem is that the mouse is low to the mousepad, and is light. There is no weight system.

A very precise mouse, though not as stellar as the infamous Copperhead. A solid 9/10.
Double edit: the mouse is ambidextrous, don't trust newegg for that info.

    BTW, link to it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826153028

Oh, and regards to the triple threat feature, that's similar to mousewheeling, and as far as I know in COD4, you will get banned for taking advantage of such feature. There's a reason why you can't bind two keys right next to each other and tap them in rapid succession to fire really fast.

I recently picked up a Saitek Cyborg. It's kinda ugly but has a motorized length adjustment, lotsa buttons, and doesn't slide near as easily as my G7. I like a little hesitation in my mouse. I'm old so I shake a little when I play which makes it tough to target.
    OmgZor! :O
I just ordered the Saitek Mouse and keyboard.. They are Soo sweet.. :P
My joystick that ive had for a month or so is the Cyborg EVO with force feedback.. ^^

For those that do not know of the über Cyborg hardware, here's some pics..

I just hope those wrist thingies are removeable.. O.o

Mmmmm... I think its sexy ^^

This i aint gonna buy, but it still looks kewl.. ^^

My Trust joystick, with this i will rise in the ranks of Aviators on TTP!

Gonna admit im a bit worried about the design of the hand in which way it fits my hand, ive used good old intellimouse since the day it got out, and ive simply LOVED it, but i thought i was time for a change.
