Just in case...have you restarted your computer?

Yeah ive restart my computer. multiple times. and what is my operating system??

you could search your HDD for "hl2.exe" and delete it and let Steam re-download it. I doubt that will fix the problem though - but stranger things have happened.

im not good with comps at all so when you say HDD i have no clue what your talking about :P

but ill just get a new comp unless someone is positive on how to fix it.
