Recommendations for free firewall software?

My wife's email got hacked which is linked to our paypal account - they got about $300 from paypal which I am challenging through the bank.

In the mean time, I think Windows Firewall failed me or something so I'm wondering if there is a free downloadable one that works.

I would run scans with an anti spyware software and anti virus programm....I would be worried about a key logger here.

I had one myself about a year ago and took no chances and changed everything.

Zone Alarm is a good choice, and a simple setup, if free is all you think you need, I believe in investing a few bux to protect what I do on my machine.
Outpost would be second choice of those I listed there, I've used both paid versions and wasn't disappointed, but moved on the Eset Security Suite now (since it's a true x64 bit application), but it's $90 for FW/AV combo.
Kaspersky Suite gets you 3 licenses (3 machines, 1 year) for $80 I believe.
The Windows Firewall only "blocks" incoming traffic, if set correctly, not outgoing traffic.
So, if something did breach it, and it's in, Win Firewall would do nothing to prevent data being sent out.
ZA blocks both.
