If you want to spend that much, wait for reviews of the x58 boards coming out. Also, even though it's a 2.4 GHz quad, you may want a faster clock speed. If you purchase an overclocked video card, you won't be able to overclock it much yourself (if at all). This isn't bad but if you wanted to tweak it yourself, you don't have much headroom. I'd go with faster memory if you can.

Don't forget to buy a heatsink.
    I would suggest getting either:

a Noctua NH-U12P "Comes with everything you need"
    http://www.frozencpu.com/products/69..._771_604_.html

or a OCZ Vendetta 2 "need a bolt through kit"
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835202007

I would get a noctua. It's quiet and is just about the best air cooling for oc'ing you processor.

    Looks good.
The q6600 can hit a 3.6 no problem.

    Go with the zalman heatsink.
ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler.

Also he is maxed out for memory that board is ddr2 800 and that is what he has.

for gaming i would choose a e8400/e8500 instead.. probably can get different memory.. i know G.Skill has 4GB of DDR2/1000 for about 70 bucks.. the hard drive is kinda high priced.. for another 20 bucks i think you could double the size..

as far as the new Intel's.. they are going to be for ppl without spending limits at first.. and the rumor is they lack in gaming compared to current CPU's

I would say don't skimp on the P/S man, with beastly equipment like that or a better video card as being suggested consider something like this (what I use) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817814013 modular so you can not have a mess of cables, pretty lights... who doesn't like those right? lots of other minor goodies come in the package, customer svc if awesome per the reviews as well if you need it.. I didn't but other people had good times so it would seem

Broken I choose the PSU I did because I trust thermalike and theirs no way this systems going to use more then 600w. Also I added the zalman cooler to the list.

+1 The Zalman 9700 is probably the best air cooling option out there. I have a Zalman 9500(because the 9700 wouldnt fit in my case) and it knocked my CPU temp down 20 degrees, with an over clock. However i am running an AMD CPU.

Everybody and their mother has the Zalmon... But to each their own. It really statistically isn't the best cooling.
