It will fit. I just bought 2 of those cases and I easily fit my 260 GTX (Huge friggin vid card) into the case easily. Your 9800GTX will fit. Just take that stupid plastic cage off the HDD cage and mount your HDD/s in the lower cage. You'll understand once you get the case.

Another nice thing about the case is that it has so many fans, you can set them all to low (Very quiet) and your case stays cool. I went from a Thermaltake Shark case to a 900. In the shark, after a little gaming, my CPU fan and GPU fans would be spinning like crazy. Since in the 900, then rarely spin up now if at all.

A few things to remember... try to handle the cards by the edges and don't touch the contacts. Also, as you put things in touch the case first so you, the card your holding, and your case all have the same electrical charge (Especially since it's cold and there is more static electricity). Even a tiny amount of static electricity can kill a computer part.

And above all, don't get nervous about swapping cases. Once your done you'll think that was a PITA but it was easy.

antec 900 is a nice case. it will fit a 9800. it will fit 2 9800s. it will be a VERY tight fit though. you move your hard drives to another bay/cage,like the other guy said. it will be a REALLY tight fit. using a dremel is another popular solution. i like the antec 1200 better because its a full tower vs a mid tower but its like almost twice as expensive.

as for power supplies its probably the most important piece of hardware in a modern system, and the 9800 gtx takes a lot of power. unfortunately your going to find out that a 9800 gtx is essentially an 8800 with better memory, and a bigger board, and doesnt offer a tremendous amount of improvement over the 8800s (it uses the same g92 gpu chip). you will also find out that if your running an older system and upgrading to it, your gonna need to spend a lot more than the 159$ or whatever the 9800 is gonna cost you in order to run it because of the new power supply and i guess new case which will basically double or triple your original upgrade cost.

for price - performance, this power supply cannot be beaten by any other on the market, and is possibly one of the best psu's ever. its won so many awards.

thats the psu i recommend on most systems i build for friends, and i use a corsair psu on my own OC'ed system you can run 9800s in sli with that psu if you wanted to. i believe is has a 60 amp rail. 60 amp rail at that price point with 80+ efficiency is hard to beat. its massively on sale + rebate bringing it to 99$ currently. an absolute steal for the quality of the product.

pulling the motherboard and swapping cases is a piece of cake, just make sure that your grounded like the other guy said. dont do it on carpet, do it on a table or on wood floors. touch a piece of metal frequently or buy yourself a 5 $ grounding wrist strap to avoid any risk of frying stuff.

if you need any help with anything send me a PM.

    Re: Graphics Card Installation Problems

My concern wasnt if my 9800GTX would fit in the new tower, i wanted to know if my motherboard that i have right now, which is some plain jane dell that came with my computer. I wanted to know if it would line up/fit in the new tower?
I just have this fear in the back of my head that im gunna get a new power supply and a new tower and get all my current shit out of my current case and then not be able to install it properly into the new case..... but im gunna try it out once i get enough money to buy a powersupply/case.
