I have the logitech extreme pc gaming headset. I can second the ear irritation, but it only happens when you've played for several hours at a time. The sounds is MUCH better than the precision gaming headset. I had a pair of those that lasted me a couple years, and finally had a wire get loose somewhere and lost the mic.

Re: Logitech Headsets...
I've got the second one Ironman linked you to. They've renamed it, it seems - used to be called Logitech Premium USB Headset. Either way, it's just like any Logitech product - lasts a long damn time and is great quality. I've been using the same MX500 mouse and multimedia keyboard (both Logitech, of course) for over five years now. I've had the headset for about 2 now. I've actually "broken" it in fits of nerdrage, but after popping it back together, it still transmits and receives sound crystal clear. Best $50 you'll spend.

I have them too. Like others have said, they start to hurt after a while. My ears are pretty sensative to pressure so I rarely use mine anymore. Ironically, I find the $10 logitechs work great for me. Over the head and the plastics aren't so stiff that they crush my ears.
Although I've been tempted to buy one of those $100 ones but I have a feeling they will crush my head too.

Used to have the behind-the-head-all-around-the-ear logitech....inline volume and mute broke very quickly....my cousin has the same headset-same problem...
Now I actually got a freakin amazing deal on Razer Barracuda's..5.1 surround sound.
comfortable, been lasting forever so far, and the 5.1 helps in games SOOOO much!
