    Damn rootkit

    Ok well this morning when i woke up and turned on my computer, my anti-virus detected a ROOTKIT malware. I want to know how bad this is and if there's a way to remove it. I deleted the file that it was in, but i doubt that the problem is solved that easily.

    what av program? did it do anything besides find it?

    try running a full scan in safe mode if you can

    I have Avast A.V and no I have not done a full scan in safe mode.
