    E or Q processor

    E or Q processor

What is this E and Q crap?

Anyone know the difference? I am looking at building a new rig. I have a 9800 gx2 already and a HD. What is the best bang for my buck to get a great processor and memory? How much would I be looking at spending for everything besides the graphics card and HD I have?

I definitely do not want to spend over $1,000 seeing as I already have the G-card.

E is a reference to the dual core procs, and Q is the quadcore procs. Typically a faster dual core is the same price as a slower quad core. And they have trade offs. Se this thread: http://www.texasteamplayers.com/index.php?topic=51772.0.

Basically for gaming, you will get the best bang for your buck by going with an E designated processor.
