Jan 09 nvidia drivers anyone else havin problems?

Talkin to iravedic about this today in L4D, i was tweakin my vid card some more and it eventually crashed and i couldnt get it turned back down so i uninstalled nov. 08 drivers and reinstalled jan 09 drivers.

My framerates have dropped well over 150FPS in ALL games, im pushing the card right now since itas running 50*C at idle just so i can get my framerates back above 100 in L4D. Anyone else having problems with these new drivers?

Dunno what nvidia did, but i know im going to find the november release and im rolling drivers back.

The Dec & Jan nVidia drivers have PhysX on GPU support. Everything I've read says that you can go into the drivers somewhere and disable that functionality. That will hopefully get your rates back up.

Just installed the January updates today. Tested 2142 and BF2 so far and both were maxxed out and over 100 fps each. Haven't tried any source games yet. That's next on my list...

Let me know if your active camo still works. Since the update, my screen goes black with active camo, and comes back when I turn it off. Also, near-by explosions make my screen go black. I haven't monkeyed with the settings to try to resolve yet. I'm at the default "high" graphics settings, except for boosting the resolution higher.

My framerates are fine, though.
