    Very annoying problem

    This buggs the hell outta me... Everytime I play BF2142 I have to remember to go into my Sound settings and turn on the +20db boost for my mic. Anyone know how to turn this on permanently? I'm running Vista Home Premium.

    running same system and mine saves the setting. But whenever i got into a steam game i have to turn it down or my mic sounds crazy.

    I ended up pulling my X-Fi card and went with the onboard audio that comes with the EVGA X-58. For some reason the creative drivers blow on vista (no surprise there). using the onboard audio everything is good.
