    Samsung 128GB SSD

So I just bought a new laptop, here's the specs.

    Dell XPS M1730
    Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme X9000 2.8GHz
    4GB DDR2 667MHz
    128GB Samsung SSD
    250GB SATA 7200RPM
NVIDIA SLI Dual GeForce 8800M GTX
    AGEIA PhysX 100M
    17" LCD 1900X1200

I did some benchmarks on the Samsung SSD and on my desktop WD Velociraptor 300GB. Here's the results for those interested.

I'm don't understand why the Samsung has drops in file transfer performance. Any ideas?

I think its normal, because of the way flash memory works. That still suggests the Samsung SSD is faster though.

How computers handle storing info on SSDs is still a very young subject from what I understand.
