It is well a dated system now. I have had it for almost 3+ years. I am well aware that it is time to update everything. I plan on doing so in the upcoming weeks. I will have bigdog build me a nice new gaming rig.I am a member of the American Sarcasm Society and head of the Frequently Unanswered Questions Division. The ASSFUQD.:

Re: Windows XP Pro... Anybody?
I will be building my new rig very soon. I just need to use a few things on XP until that time. It is more a short term fix than a long term useage.
I will just email myself all of the information I wish to keep and start everything over. It may take sometime to get all of the upgrades, but ooh well I can fix all of that shit later.I am a member of the American Sarcasm Society and head of the Frequently Unanswered Questions Division. My question is, why do you need XP Pro? Unless you're going to be attaching this machine to an Active Directory managed network, there's no real benefit of Home vs Pro...
... just read up a little on active directory and sounds like what I am talking about but I was not familiar with the term.

I think Cecil meant, only get Vista if you want to run more than 3GB of RAM, as XP is not meant for more than that.
OR... you could use windows 7 beta!
yes, I am one of 'those' people that hate Vista but like windows 7 so far
