Thread: Computer is pissed at me..

So my sister called me and she had a copy of XP Pro that had never been opened. AWESOME I thought. So I drop it in and just UPGRADE (key word here) to XP Pro. I think everything is just fine and dandy...

If I try to use Windows Update.. the windows update internet window locks up and does NOT A DAMN THING.

Quite a few websites that use to give me NO trouble at all are no just... not loading... simple things like worldofwarcraft.com's account mangement

So I looked at possibly just saying screw it and Full install, but with my 70 gig harddrive it won't let me overwrite this one. It wants to partition the damn thing (already 55%) full..

I just want to update windows (without troubles) and go to my website.. It only has to work for a few more weeks until I send bigdog the $$ for my new computer.

I'm not sure,but couldn't you buy a new hard drive and install the new OS on that? Then you could use the new drive in your new machine?
