Write is slower with SSD and reads are faster. I have some velociraptors at work if there's a specific benchmark you want me to run. I ran one test with 3 of them in raid 0 and it smoked everything sandrasoft had for comparison.

I had a brilliant idea...
The SSD as the primary HDD (OS, games... etc.), one of my current Raptor drives for the pagefile and all temp write stuff and the 500Gb drive for storage (Music, videos, personal files... etc.)
What do you guys think? A little exotic but I think it'll work well.

I just got a 120 gig OCZ SSD from Newegg. I planned on doing some desktop testing with it before plugging it into my laptop. $225 after rebate. While it's a lot more expensive than traditional HDs, I wanted the increased battery life & performance over typocal 4200/5400rpm laptop drives.

Looking around at the Gskill guys, I'm kind of impressed with them. Of course, their 128 GB SSD is pretty damn cheap.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.
