    Need some help buying.

So I am looking around newegg for a new videocard and I am completely lost here. I have no idea whats good or not.
    I have a PCI express X16 board

I am not looking for anything too expensive but given PCI Express 2.0 is the big thing prices are quite reasonable now.
I plan on selling this rig to my roommate in the next few months so I am looking for the best bang for the buck.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A good video card would be a 9800GT. They pack a pretty good punch.

PCI-E 2.0 cards do work on a standard PCI-E 1.0 lane. And i would go with an ATi 4850 or 4830 over the 9800 GT.

If you're going to get rid of the pc in a couple of months, don't spend too much on it. Here is an article on the best video cards for the money currently - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...rd,2118-2.html
