1080i and 1080p are the same resolution, but one is interlaced (i) versus non-interlaced (p).

    A PC typically displays 1080p.

    Re: New Monitor/HDMI

Well, I ended up returning my Hannspree monitor because it had a messed up pixel. I traded it in for a new 23" Samsung. Additionally, I'm using DVI on my new monitor and VGA on my old monitor for dual monitors. Earlier, the screen of my new monitor was shaking or vibrating when I was on the maximum resolution and went away when I lowered the resolution. Then I installed the monitor driver and a program called "Multiscreen" found on the disk that came with the monitor and the shakiness went away. I just tried to load up BF2 and it appeared to have tried to load up but it didn't make it to the login page. Anybody know what's going on?

It doesn't really make it widescreen because BF does not support those resolutions, but it does zoom out a bit which makes quite a bit of difference. In game I have my settings at 1024x768 on high using a 22" monitor. It takes a bit of getting used to going from a square screen to a wide, but in the end I like it better. At first my stats took a beating and it took me a couple of weeks to really become comfortable with it. Good luck and like Xavsnipe's girlfriend says, bigger IS better.
Why 1.32. I use 1.47.2 and it works fine.

It says at the top of the download screen that version 1.32 is compatible with Punk Buster.
