Lightning??
This has officially been the worst weekend ever and it is only half way in. Friday night we responded to a fatal crash. Out all night(4am) get home tired as hell and go to bed around 5. Wake up at 6 for down powerlines call. My electricity is out now. So I unplug my power strip as I leave the house. Get home after sitting out in the storm watching power lines dancing around and arcing, really cool to watch, just dont let it burn your eyes. Come home around 10am, now tired as hell thinking shit this weekend has sucked. Well I only thought it was bad. I turned on my computer and all the fans kick on, I get nothing on my monitor, it stays same for a few minutes. Ok I think I will just hit the reset button. Then it goes off comes back on and fans power lights etc all for about 5 -10 seconds then goes off for 5-10 seconds and does it again. Turned off power and try again same. Changed psu with one I rma'ed. It doesnt even turn on(not sure if it's good, never used since returned from thermaltake) Put other one back in same deal. Tried unplugging fans, drives etc. So am I screwed? Mobo?
Thanks guys for the help. I am afraid I got lightning, but not really sure cause power came back on rather quickly. Oh and my computer was asleep not powered down. If I would have been expecting the storm and not so freakin tired I might have thought to shut it down and unplug before hand.

One of these babies saved my system just fine last night, and has been doing it for about 5 years now for me, never failed once.

Re: Lightning??
My tv, stereo, sub, dvd player, satellite rcvr are all on a cheap surge protector. I watched a movie last night and everything was good. Even my satellite is working fine and I hear those go out easy. So I am going top read my insurance policy, I believe I added additional computer coverage. It just really sucks, I have the laptop for internet but I cant game.
