I've looked all over the Creative forums and everyone has the same problem with no results. Now I'm asking for your help as a collective whole. So here is a list of things I've already done:

-I have the latest drivers (Vista 64 ones)
-I've tried the rear inputs and the front inputs, no Mic works.
-Yes, I've already disabled my onboard soundcard.
-The only driver installed on a fresh install of Vista 64 is the X-Fi.

    Can anyone help?
Could your mic be fubar? Have you tried a differant mic?

Also....doule check where you are plugging it in. If your integrated card is still in(even though you disabled it),you could be plugging your mic in there instead of your soundcard.....just a thought...

I know this is going to sound REALLY stupid... but the mic volume isn't muted is it? By default it's muted.

Are you using the creative sound panel manager thing? If you are and you haven't done it, you need to set your output to headphones. It defaults to speakers.

ALSO go into your sound setting in control panel and make sure all your defaults are correct and every thing is set up correctly.

Problem solved!!!!!!!!!! I just ordered a new headset Mic:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826106163

Man I installed Vista x64 twice, installed my sound card twice, removed sound card and used onboard card %$&*()@&%&*@)%@). Why won't this thing work? Then, BLAM! yes Dex71, mic was FUBAR!

I want to thank everyone for their assistance. It just show how strong of a community TTP is and I will be back up gaming in no time.
