PC Wizard 2008 is the best for testing anything on your PC. It will tell you clock speeds among other things.... don't worry, the site I provided doesn't cause testicular cancer or viruses
Thanks to WileECyte for the site provided

Memtest x86 as well will give your ram a thorough testing. Download the bootable CD image, burn and let it run for however long you want. If you can't run Memtest x86 without throwing errors, there's problems with your memory subsystem somewhere, either the individual sticks or the memory controller.
If you do get errors, try one stick at a time.

How much is being used can be seen in the taks manager.
How much your computer is seeing can be seen but right clicking on my computer and hitting properties.
As far as how much your computer can hold you are going have to dig up some info on your mobo to do so. But Windows 84 Bit OS's are limited to 8GB i think. And 32 bit OS's see aprox 3GB.
