    I've had all the same problems. I find it funny that when you autoupdate MS, IE8 is a "high priority" update. Apparently it's a high priority to them, not me.

    im running windows 7 also, if you copy and paste something in IE8 then you goto type, the scrol bar bounces up and down. so you have to blindly type what your wanting to say. ive tried everything i can think of to fix it but nothing works.

    I'm of the theory that we're actually beta testing IE8 now vs this being a for release candidate

    That's standard operating procedure for Microsoft. Everyone knows the first 'version' of their operating systems is always a risky proposition.
