black berry scroll ball

Has anyone had trouble with the scroll ball not wanting to go down? It scrolls left right and up. But sometimes feels like it is smooth or not gripping,

Common problem. You can take it in and they have a tool to remove it and replace it/clean it.

Even after 2 months use? Granted heavy use.

Simple fix.. get the Blackberry Storm, and be all touch screen pimpin' like Hub.

haha that's of course if you have Verizon Wireless.

Everyone that I know have had a problem with that stupid ball thing.

No problems here after a year or more of use.

I occasionally clean mine with a small amount of rubbing alcohol and a qtip.

I work for a phone company, it's just dirty like on old non-laser mice and yes has to be cleaned every so often, there are videos on you tube that demonstrate how to do it and even websites where you can buy whole new assemblies for it cheap blackberrytrackball.com comes to mind as one option if it's really borked up.. but 9 out of ten times it just needs to be cleaned (just that most of the people that call in aren't technical like the guys here are and I wouldn't' suggest cleaning it to them..heh)
