I would do a fresh build at those prices, Don't see the point in spending that much money for the same parts that were in it before when you can spend that and have a more powerful machine.

I'm going to call them and ask them if the processor and ram are in working order then go from there. I guess I should just ask what DOES work ..lol

I recommend a fresh build. Your system was fine... but older. Those prices you cited, if they are for parts that are equivocal to your old ones, are not worth it.

With Jason's post above, you could build that whole system and stomp your old system to smithereens, quite literally.

If Jason's picks are too much there is plenty of help around here to adjust the prices to a more fitting range, and then if you don't trust yourself to build it, let bigdog do it for a much smaller labor cost.

yes you could use your old HD, but you will have to reinstall the OS if I am not mistaken as your mobo died as well.

Yes you can probably use your old HDD (although HDD's are pretty darn cheap these days). I only say probably because a massive system failure that cooked a mobo and GPU may have cooked all kinds of stuff...but the HDD is usually not a victim in casses of heat problems...but a frying motherboard could overload all kinds of things.

Do you have an install disk for your previous OS?
