ATK Software and Wireless Adapter Conflict. Advice?

It is an Asus M51sn Laptop
So here is the history:
Chassis flexes and would cause the wireless adapter shift in its slot. This usually happened when I grabbed the laptop by the front with one hand (not safe, I know, but hey I gotta move sometimes!). This would cause the adapter to cease functioning until I rebooted, or occasionally the system would lockup altogether. I am assuming it shorted a little when it shifted and caused the driver to have an error or loop of some sort. I discovered that reseating the wireless adapter helped prevent this...for periods of time. Eventually it would wriggle loose again.
I moved the wireless adapter to a different slot in the middle of the system instead of at its edge. It fixed the problem of the adapter cutting out. BUT, it started a whole new problem! Each time I power up the computer (whether from a cold boot, warm boot or hibernation) the adapter does not function until I disable and then re-enable it. Then it works fine.
I had been considering upgrading to Vista 64 (since the drivers are on the disk and the CD-KEY is good for either version) and I figured the upgrade might just fix this problem since I could not nail it down. So I reinstalled Vista in the 64 bit flavor. Everything is hunky dory except I still have to manually enable the adapter...after I installed ATK Hotkey which is the Hotkey program.
I then experimented with uninstalling ATK Hotkey and other ATK related software/drivers. Indeed it is ATK Hotkey causing this conflict. I am guessing it wants my adapter to be in a specific slot.
So...unless there is a fix, my solutions are to A) Not have hotkeys, B) manually enable my wireless adapter each time I turn on the machine, or C) move the adapter back to the favored slot where it cuts in and out all the time forcing me to reboot any time I move my machine.
Anyone got a fix? I would love to have my hotkeys and automatically enabled wireless...but I do not want to move the card back to that other slot where chassis-flex will cause it to have errors.
