Thread: Punkbuster Vista problem??

I tried to click on this http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe and when I do it just gives me an option to save..




Not uninstall/reinstall option just save and it doesn't even let me chose where to save it


I also tried this:
* On Vista you do this
1. Go to Control Panel and select 'System and Maintenance'
2. Select "Administrative Tools"
3. Select "Services" from the list that appears.
4. Scroll down the list and ensure "PnkBstrA" and "PnkBstrB" show 'status' as "Started" and 'Startup Type' as "Automatic"

PB is not showing up in my Services

nothing showing up or working

What did I miss ?

It likely saved pbsvc.exe in your Downloads folder. You need to uninstall and reinstall using pbsvc. Make sure you run pbsvc as Administrator (right click.)

C:\Users\Your username\Downloads is the default location that IE downloads to.

Once you do that, you should run pbsetup and make sure everything is up to date.
