BAD WEATHER - BIG PROBLEMS
Alright gentlemen...need some tech help but not by choice
. Bad weather tripped my PC today - looking at a possible loss of mother board and therefore canning my old machine and going with a new PC. My question is about the i7 processor. I've read some good reviews. Is the processor worth it? any direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance - Roo

Be sure to get a power protector, it is worth every penny and has saved my systems MANY times. Had the same one for years and it runs perfectly. I recommend APC protectors.

The i7 is worth it. I have JUST upgraded my motherboard and SHOULD have went to a 1366 socketed i7 board. Unfortunately I didn't. The same clocked core2quad's get eaten alive by the i7s. Ah well... I'll just have to upgrade again in a few months.
