Thread: Laptop to replace desktop...

Finally ordered the Sager 5795 I've been meaning to get. Well, it wont quite replace my desktop, but it might give it a run for it's money.

17" WUXGA (1920x1200)
Intel® T9900 Core2 Duo 3.06GHz w/6MB
nVidia GeForce GTX 280M 1,024MB PCI-E DDR3 DX10
6,144MB DDR3 1066MHz
160GB Intel X25-M Solid State Drive

It's got some extra features and eye candy. I wanted to go with a botique brand like Sager, because I love their platforms and the Clevo M570ETU fits the bill. Can't wait to mess with the SSD and 280m...

I have a Sager netbook (bought before netbooks were "the thing") and I love it to pieces. Best piece of technology I have bought... like ever. I have owned it for 2.5 years and have never had any hardware trouble with it.

Thanks! I was considering some of the newer laptops that have 280ms in SLI, but I wasn't really looking to burn a hole in my desk or wallet. But then again the wife did buy it for me. Anyways this GPU should suffice for quite some time.. It should be here tomorrow and the real question is do I install BF2 or CSS first?

Man I'm jealous now...
