Why I rave about the Dell 2209WA
http://www.techspot.com/blog/645/an-...next-purchase/
Tested faster than a CRT. Everybody says that TN panels are the best for gaming... well they just got beat by an E-IPS. And to think the main reason I wanted E-IPS was for the excellent color accuracy, since I'm a photographer.
Also can run at 75Hz legitimately which most cheapy LCD's can't do.
AND it's dirt cheap (can be had for just over $200) and gives the $900 Eizo a run for its money on both fronts (photo editing AND gaming).
Only problem is they are in extremely short supply right now. Most Dell techs will tell you they've been End-Of-Life'd but that is simply not true. There are ways to order one now even though they're not listed on the Dell page.

For those that don't read the whole article, in short what he said is that the "ms race" in LCD specs is about as silly as the megapixel race with digital cameras (cramming 14MP onto a tiny sensor behind cheap glass, for example). Advertising a 2ms display lag is pointless because at 60Hz you will get 16ms regardless.
What really matters for gaming is input lag... and that is where the 2209 excels.
