    blue screen

    i was playing CS:S map was over map was switching all of a sudden a blue screen popped up and said it was shutting down to prevent damage. Do i need to be worried?

    Huh... I think the only time I can remember getting a blue screen, my computer never came back on. But seeing as you are posting - I'm guessing you got yours to work. I really have no idea about computers but I will cross my fingers for you!

    yea i have heard of the blue screen of death thats why i am worried.

    Could just be an anomaly. I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again. It could be outdated vid drivers,sound drivers,Windows glitch...something,but if it was just a one time deal,I wouldn't worry.

    The key to getting to the bottom of a BSOD is to understand how to read the data that is spit out.

    Try to get a pen/paper near your computer if the blue screens become common and write down some important facts next time this happens. You can either come back to this forum and have us help you troubleshoot your PC or use this and google around whatever you wind up getting from your crash message.
