Dual core problem
Alright I hope this doesn't get too technical but I'm just wondering if anyone has ever come across a problem like this.
I purchased a dual core processor about 6 months ago, a 7750 AMD Athalon X2 Black Edition. I thought it was a simple upgrade that would help me out alot. Little did I know I had to upgrade my ASUS motherboard with winflash in order to even get the damn thing to run after installing the processor.
The problem is this, sometimes when running a game such as CS:S, not a very graphics intense game for those who don't know, for some reason the entire games load will transfer over to the 2nd core. The Core 1 will do absolutely nothing, the result is my game locking up and me having to abort to desktop.
The only fix I have is to shutdown the computer....
I believe it could be either a hardware issue or even a heat issue but I highly doubt it is a heat issue.
The only reason I would think that is because the processor fan I installed is whiny compared to the old one after it's been running for only 10 minutes.
If anyone has ANY input it would be much appreciated, you can even call me retarded

Re: Dual core problem
This happend with my BattleFrontII game.
What I did was,
Start the game then minimize it. Start TaskManager. Got to the Processes tab, find the game process. Right click, go to Afinity (or something like that) and set it to what ever core.
See if anything changes. I can't really get into details because I'm on a singlecore right now. So, I don't have it to reference to.
Hope that helps.
