Wow, crazy that I paid the same price as that for my first flat panel monitor a little more than 5 years ago...

Looks like it comes with the dvi to hdmi cable. If you dont plan on using audio built into the monitor, just use that. If I understand correctly, dvi and hdmi video are virtually the same.

Yea, from what I gathered thus far, that is true amongst the basic elements. Really comes down to the hardware being used I guess...

The DVI to HDMI adapters are garbage. Always use the DVI to HDMI cable. You can get them hella cheap at www.monoprice.com.

True that. I would get a nice green screen every now and then when using one. Had to get in the back and jiggle wire connector a few times a week.

Well they usually come free with the video card but his already has a HDMI out on the back of the card.

All he needs is a HDMI cable.

Well, you want to game at your native resolution, which it says for this monitor is 1920x1200. This resolution seems pretty high, so hopefully your system will be able to run the latest and greatest games with such a high res. If you try to run it outside of your native resolution it will look pretty bad. Not saying it won't run, but it will generally look bad.

If it isn't running up to par at the high res, turn down the detail a bit. And you can always upgrade the ole video card. :9

The 280m GTX is handling this thing just fine @ 1920. It's just CSS tho, so yea.. As it sits now, it's a tad too close, so I may mount it on the wall. Can't wait for some new games...
