This man speaks great wisdom. In fact, my wife is STILL mocking me to this very day over pulling exactly this incident with my system. "Damn, I guess the 9800GTX needs more power than my 520W PSU can handle." *facepalm* Anyways, glad you've got that PSU thing taken care of already.

It's okay to be selfish every so often, Muq, and with a spawned process on the way you won't get too many more chances to be completely selfish.

If you've done $10k of work on the house, for heaven's sake, treat yourself unless you have something that's gotta be done immediately to the house.

i have 2 mini-me's and it only gets harder...my extraneous, frivolity in regards to man toys has gone by the wayside..i now marvel at the plastic barbie dolls and hanna montana wigs and outfits I get to play with.

I think it depends on the rest of the specs in your box. No reason to get a nice vid card if your PSU is already struggling or you dont have a lot of RAM...
