Pote is right....you won't need 1000 Watt PSU if you are only running one card. Save a little cash there (ftr) Newegg has the Corsair 750w on sale this week for $120. Corsair makes GREAT PSUs.

Put that together with a decent MB....and you have a SCREAMING machine.

If you keep an eye on Newegg and MicroCenter,they have deals on it all the time. No MicroCenter around your area? Maybe there are others here who are in your area,and they could suggest another place?

You mentioned you build rigs every year or so and I took that into consideration with reccomending this. Since you are running XP you can't use anything more than 2 GB of RAM. Try this out for size:

Thanks Rico, I added up the difference of going with the i7 compared to the i5 and I think I'm going to go with the i5. It's not that I can't afford it, I just don't see the use in having it other that to say I do. I think the i5 will be quite enough for me. I hadn't considered only being able to use the 2 gigs of ram with xp, so I'll be saving a little more with that as well. I appreciate everyone's input and I'll post up what I ordered in the next few days.

Since windows 7 is literally RIGHT around the corner, I would recommend waiting for that, get that so you can utilize all 4 gigs AND have a sexy top of the line OS.
