Thread: Media PC Dead???

Yea everything else is there. Just replacing a bad mobo and the CPU for good measure. I will keep the 8800GTX in place for now. I will move a second 8800GTX in to it once I decide to replace the GPU in my gaming rig. This rig takes a lot abuse because it is in a closet. No question long term heat exposure is what caused its death. Not to mention that it looked like the dust bunnies had moved in. Good thing windows 7 64 loads very fast.

I had been using DVI to HDMI cable for video and optical out for audio. It sounds pretty good. We watch movies off of netflicks most of the time and they are not 5.1 anyway. We still have not got around to burning the 250-300 DVD's in our library. May be a good time for me to add a few more large HD's.

Already have the multi card reader. We only use 2 USB ports.

I am going to have to start keeping it clean. Suppose to be my wifes job but it was not getting done. 2 8800GTX's will fit but I will have to move my front drive bays and HD's around some. 900 has tons of room.
