So how does your comparison to USB and SATA work? Nobody has to make a new name for either of those, because nobody trademarked either of them.

You implied that it was ridiculous for ATI to name their implementation something other than SLI, but they can't name it SLI.

Do you call all modern cars Fords? Is Chevrolet "being a ho" by calling their cars by a different name?
