Problems with Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 Headset in L4D

    New poster...

Just got L4D on the advice of a friend and am enjoying it immensely, but am missing out on talking to my teammates due to the fact that my Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 Headset doesn't seem to want to recognize that it does indeed have a mic attached to it. Said headset works fine with Skype, but not in L4D. I can hear the sound from the game, and see a speech bubble over my character's portrait when I hit the PTT button, but my teammates can't hear what I am saying. I have the most recent drivers for the headset, am running Vista 64 and a day-old copy of L4D. Any ideas what the problem could be?

I don't have vista but you could try it in Ventrillo or Teamspeak.
