Thread: AMD/ATI Radeon 5870

Anyone have one of these yet? If so, what are your thoughts on them so far and how has the performance been thus far?

I'm getting mine in my new computer on Wednesday, apparently its the 4890/295 put together x2 "says the 50 year old virgin at the computer store" :O It has a price tag, but I think it will last. Ness. Evil I think has Crossfire 5870's, should ask him.

It's supposed to be a beast. I hear it's around 10% better then the 295. I think it's a damn good buy except the price tag is a little steep.

Well Mad, that's because it's new.. All new cards have a price tag.. I had an 8800 Ultra at it's prime and it cost me $800.

Hoping to pick this thing up in a couple days. So we'll see.

I bought one of these a few weeks back in the first wave of Newegg. I absolutely love it. The $379 is nothing compared to the performance.
