I still don't know why people hated Vista. I never had any problems with it. I did however have plenty of stability and hardware compatibility issues with XP.
been playing with RTM enterprise aka business ultimate for 2 months now. Love it. Vista for me never worked, games lagged and drops to the desktop were common. Worked fine for office apps and such just didn't work so well for games. XP I didn't have a problem with, but I want directx 10-11 and triple channel memory.

Re: Plans to move to Windows 7

Loved both Vista Ultimate and 7 Ultimate RTM which I am running now. Both x64, never any serious problems with either. I had a few minor explorer-layout complaints about both... 7 added a few cool features but also took away a few very basic ones. One that pisses me off the most is that if I open each of my internal drives and place the explorer window in a certain position and size, it will not save all those positions and sizes as it did on Vista. It will save position and size for each application independently, but there is only one explorer "save slot." Annoying, but not enough to go back to Vista for.
