Thread: Windows 7 reflections

Was crashing to desktop on BF2 - getting "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

Read to disable Physx acceleration in Nvidia control panel. Did so, and it hasn't happened since.

I dont see how its possible, but it seems that programs open faster in Windows 7 and close faster as well.

I know BF2 opens faster, but its a fresh install and I would guess thats my old install dragging ass.

No performance drop seen, but I am not counting frames at this point.

Very happy overall, and had my first vision of formatting my XP install on Sata 0. I know I will need to reload it, my phone drivers dont work with Windows 7, and neither does Skype. I like Skype to VTC with my parents in Atlanta, so its critical.
