The GTX has smoother grpahics than ATI would. I have a GTS in my Dell and an ATI in my other computer. And the GTS is silky smooth for Flight Simulator X on Extream. I've had bad times with ATI, im now sticking with nVidia since they know what they are doing.

Why should I listen to someone who got kicked off of his Nephew's MTV show for groping under aged girls?

all so just save some money and get the 8400, it still out scores the 85-8600

then put a clock on it, im 3.4 on air ery day 24/7 and never see temps higher then 37c.

260 core 216 if i had to pick.

Money isn't really a big issue, nor should it be, I'm going to end up getting some student loans and a new PC (a beast of a new PC) is part of the school supplies since I'm going to be doing 3D animation.

I really don't know how games could look better than GTA IV, ARMA 2, or Borderlands... And if they DID eventually improve the appearance of games somehow, I would be perfectly fine with setting the settings back so they just look like games coming out right now.
Strange, ARMA 2 completely drestroyed my GTX 260 @ 1920x1200 (highest settings).

Just so that you know when ag got his 4890 I did a video review and posted it on youtube of all the games you are interested in.

you can watch it in HD if you open up a new tab/window

4890 Held 60fps at all times with settings maxxed.
At times in the video the system is crunched but only because fraps was recording, at all other times like i said it was 60fps

being the nvidia enthusiast I am.....

between a standard 260, and a 1gb 4890, I REALLLYL hate to admit it, but I would go with the 4890. Yes jason I just fucking said that, stop rubbing your eyes.

On the other hand, spend a bit more and get the 1792mb EVGA GTX 275. I have that bad boy and it clobbers the shit out of anything I throw at it!!!!! :10 :10
