    A hot mic without being in game? How does that work? I know that if I blow into my mic when I have my speakers hooked up I can hear it, but not through the headset. Can you speak full sentences and hear yourself completely?

    Yes. I am in a server right now that doesn't have the update to 1.5 yet. I just wanted to see if I can play BF2 at all. Now, I just got kicked because PunkBuster isn't updated too. JESUS CHRIST!!! I can hear myself the whole time but I don't thnik that they can hear me unless I press the "B" button. Now, if I mute the microphone it goes away. I have no idea WTF is going on. I am considering re-formatting my computer to see if I can go back to normalcy.

    OK, updated 1.5 and was able to get in on TTP. I believe if I leave the mic UN muted I can transmit in game whilst pressing "B". If I mute I cannot transmit. Having a "hot-mic" while not in gameis annoying.

    AT least I got PB installed and 1.5 patch working now.

    Thanks bro. I am still not convinced on the mic issue though.

    atleast its a temporary fix. I honestly dont know how to help you besides what we discussed already

    Pot, I am wondering if maybe my mic was ALWAYS hot with that 4th column UN-checked and the pick-up was low enought to where I couldn't hear it?

    Unless you upgraded your speakers, forgot that you turned the volume up or got a sound card, I kind of doubt that. You could have had a plug of ear wax in both ears that suddenly disappeared But in all honesty, I am at a loss to determine the specific cause or how to fix it, besides what I have already said. :3
