    I use iTunes to manage my iPod Touch, but refuse to pay for their music. I buy all my music on CDs and rip them myself to ultra high quality variable bitrate MP3s. That way, I have direct control over my music and not subject to anyone's rules.

    +1 same here. I have an ipod and use itunes but I have never bought a single song from them. I have an external drive that I ripped my 500 or so CD's to in MP3 format that I can link to any music program and use. I will never support DRM crap.

    I just stumble upon this tutorial to remove itunes drm and convert itunes m4p music files to mp3, that may be helpful

    Piracy (in any form) is illegal and not condoned by TTP. Locking.
