Connecting computer to 720p LCD TV

I have a computer in the bedroom that I have been wanting to hook up to the TV in there but I've been avoiding buying a HDMI cable. Quick question though... it has a analog computer input. What are the issues I will see with using a analog PC in? Will it hit 720p?

Don't know for sure, but I kind of doubt it. DVI on the other hand....for sure. I could be wrong though.

Most TVs will only do HD resolutions with digital inputs. I know my 1080p TV will only do 1080p with HDMI or DVI inputs.

I am 99% sure that you cant get above 480i with a PC analog input on most displays.

if you connect through PC VGA, you get the max resolution supported on the TV, i.e. 1600x1200 not the HD "resolutions" like 720p/1080p, those are only accessible through digital interfaces, DVI or HDMI.

Just buy the DVI to HDMI cable from monoprice.com. They are cheap as hell, so why avoid?

1600x1200 is not possible on a 1080 TV.
