Odd......I would be inclined to think that means something new is coming.....but all of the manufacturers at the same time?

They only put 2Gb on dual GPU cards. 2 gigs on a single gpu doesn't get much of a performance gain if any at all.

It was a single 4890 with 2gb. I play gta4 and when changing graphic settings it auto adjusts by how much video memory you have.

I looked it up and to max everything out on 1920x1200 you need around 1800mb of video ram.

2gb would take care of that easily.

The 5770 crossfire option does look nice.

Yeah I remember that 4890. I think that was the reason they discontinued it was because of the performance issues.

I remember thinking it would be good for GTA 4. I can't remember where but I think somebody ran some benchmarks, and it wasn't what I expected.

EDIT: Actually I think it's good for high resolutions. Like when you get past 1920 x 1200.

Agreed! I am running 4850s in crossfire... thinking about changing up. Still playing the waiting game though... probably gonna do a full build in the summer. The 4850s are running pretty much everything I as at 1680x1050.
