You are probably right about the Garmin customer service, but honestly, I never had to call either of them.

If you get a Garmin, be sure that it is hidden in your vehicle and it is locked at all times...I learned this the hard way. I live in a really good neighborhood and usually don't lock my truck and hid my GPS in the glove box, but the very first time I left it out in my center console (not even that easily seen either, napkins on top of it) it got stolen right out of my own driveway.
My neighbors were worried I was gonna go on a shooting spree I was so pissed.

Thanks for all the great suggestions and info.
I am not usually a big fan of radar detectors and have never had a use for one, but in the last 12 months I have been pulled over 5 times for speeding, and I am not even a crazy driver! The last one was last month for going 64 in a 60 on the highway. Seriously? But out of the 5 I only got 1 ticket, the rest were warnings.
I think some of it has to do with the truck I drive - 20" chrome wheels and chrome sport package, dark tint, low profile tires . . . I dont know, maybe the cops find my truck suspicious or something. I think thats why I have been getting so many warnings. They pull me over because of the truck but then they see its just me inside and dont care. But of course, I would rather not be pulled over in the first place.
