TG Daily Hardware: iSlate is late

    iSlate is late

The most important product in the history of everything, ever, Apple's indescribably-exciting tablet computer, is unlikely to hit the shelves before June due to battery life and reliability issues.

Although the wonderful product is expected to be announced in San Francisco on January 27, boosting sales of incontinence products to over-excited Apple fanbois, a note to investors from Kaufman Brothers analyst Shaw Wu warns that sales of the gadget could be delayed due to "minor issues".

Personally, the idea of actually owning a Tablet PC is far fetched. I don't see ever owning one unless I had to travel by air every week. Otherwise a notebook or netbook should suffice.

Yeah, it seems heavily specialized for the user on the move. And only the user on the move who's job has them using a mac.

I'm just surprised it has taken them this long to finally put the IPhone tech into a goddamn computer. Bad market move IMO. They should have started the same year the IPhone came out and coined the market for this stuff, now they have competition.

They actually probably sped it up. I'm willing to bet they set a date they couldn't make for a reason.
