Wow apple really impressed me this time.

Their ability to come up with new ways to suck their fan's wallets dry every year for relatively useless shit is Impeccable.

Cant say I've done much research into the product but from what I understand its a giant Iphone, with out the phone part and less features....for more money. Can't say I'm surprised.

I'm pretty biased against Apple, but I still understood why so many people would want an Iphone. It does a lot of shit and it fits in your pocket, pretty simple. However this thing almost seems like a joke. Apparently during the unavailing they used the word magical to describe it. :3

Apple is the Evil Empire.

This thing is ridiculous. No Flash support...no USB(it comes with a little adapter,but it can't do all the things that a normal USB can do...and who wants to carry around a little accessory to do something that should have been built in?)...No HDMI....no multi-tasking...and of course Apples proprietary nonsense.
It can't do half of the things that a comparably priced notebook can do.

This thing looks like an ipod Touch for the blind...like a remedial version.

This may not be an impressive product, but it will sell like someone just invented sliced bread. The ebook reader market will be one they are going to effect. You can have for about $300 a kindle or nook and do nothing but read a book. For $199 more, you now have increased capabilities with the ipad at home (apps, multimedia, surfing, etc). The Oprah market will eat this one up.

With the economy the way it is... I don't think it will hit big. Think about it...

This comes out after Christmas when anyone who was going to get one probably got a Kindle and already has it filled up with books. Anyone else will see it as a novelty and most likely have either an iphone or a laptop, or both.

Too big to take with you instead of a laptop, too late on the ebook scene and not a phone...

I know people with iphones and its like a bigger dick contest. Look how many apps I have. Its like all those 9million toys that have ever come out. Your cool cause you got it for christmas but by feb you dont even remember it and it buried under shit in your closet.

Apps? more like worthless crap to occupy your mind for twenty minutes and brag about how many you got. I dont think Ive seen anyone with an app that was actually usefull. I have a blackberry sports app that I love, gives scores of almost every game you can think of and nascar race stats. The other apps I have are a couple radio apps that I use and a couple phone utility apps.

I laugh when everyone is ttrying to get their iphone to a wifi so they can use it. Mine has great internet everywhere I go...

Or buy a kindle for book reading, and buy a $199 ipod touch for when you need mini computing. 2 for one, and each does its job cheaper and better than the tweener. :P
